Lately, auto-makers have been in a fight for their lives to design cars that will keep their customers attention. Especially with this being the time frame for new generation vehicles to roll out (2012-2013). And Lexus has been revamping the styling of it’s entire inventory with it’s more aggressive, gaping grill design. The latest to roll out is the full-size LS luxury vehicle. The Lexus luxo-sedan has definitely taken a different route in its design language. Look wise, it went from the big bore of the bunch (S-Class, 7-Series, A8), to a jaw-dropper. Exterior is much more aggressive and commanding than the outgoing model, as well as a refined and updated interior. Some might argue that the LS’s front fascia “steals” Audi’s large black grill & LED lights styling, but all’s fair in car design right? Just look at the new Nissan Altima ( looks like a 2012 Lexus ES, especially in the rear, with Nissan/Infiniti touch-up).
Overall, the 2013 LS is a refreshing redesign from its previous model. And as always, leading the auto-industry with innovative technology, it’s flying into the ring, swinging hard at the jaws of BMW, Mercedes, and Audi. The Lexus big boy looks fun to drive, edgy, and modern, all while keeping its luxury appeal. And just for kicks, for the first time in Lexus history, the new LS comes with an available F-Sport variant.
