Cloud House is a project by Architectural practice McBride Charles Ryan in Melbourne, Australia and consists of a renovation and extension of a century-old home. The house is designed in three parts which create progression throughout the house, previewing oncoming spaces and experiences as you move through it. The street-side facade has been left to demonstrate the clients respect for the evolution of the character of the area and holds within it a white interior with a floral-patterned carpet. There is a red-colored box at the heart of the property which is the kitchen that acts as a bridge linking the major spaces. A cloud-shaped extrusion is the unexpected final space. Following the form of a child-like impression of a cloud it functions as a playful addition where you can have a great time with family and friends.
