McLaren released production photos of their anticipated Hybrid P1 sportscar. It offers 903HP (916PS) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque with a top speed of 218mph and 0-62mph in under 3.0 seconds. The carbon-fibre-bodied McLaren P1 is powered by a reworked version of the twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V8 engine.
“Our aim is not necessarily to be the fastest in absolute top speed,” said Sheriff, “but to be the quickest and most rewarding series production road car on a circuit. This is the true test of a supercar’s all-round ability and a much more important technical statement.”
The new McLaren P1 will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
