Just because the dinosaurs died off eons ago, it doesn’t meant that their skeletons can’t accessorize with the fashion world’s upper-most echelon. In a decor choice that throws it back just about as far in time as possible, Louis Vuitton’s 5th Ave. outpost has dressed its windows with spectacularly gilded dinosaur skeletons.

Draped with numerous specimens of LV’s logo-adorned luggage, handbags and clutches – specifically those from the Pre-Fall ’13 peripd – the window display literally is the ultimate fusion of old and new; of history with future. On display for shoppers & tourists alike to gawk at are a Stegosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, Velociraptor, Spinosaurus & Dimetrodon – all of which give the Natural History Museum across the park from them a run for their money. Forget about speculating whether the devil wears Prdad – these days it’s all about the T-Rex toting Vuitton!

“It’s a huge moonshot. A really big goal to go after,” said project leader Mike Cassidy. “The power of the Internet is probably one of the most transformative technologies of our time.”

On June 13, Google tested their experiment in Christchurch, New Zealand, a symbolic site. Back in 2011, an earthquake killed 185 people and left residents without internet access. Google believes balloon access will help people suffering from natural disasters connect with one another more quickly. If successful, the project could, by the end of the decade, also bring news, educational materials and important, life-saving health information to virtually everyone.

Available in four chic shades, the bag is specifically designed to house the beloved Nikon 1 camera, and boasts a sexily utilitarian shape that hugs & cushions the camera beautifully (plus leaves some room for a couple interchangeable lens as well).

In keeping with the aesthetic that is steadily catapulting him into sartorial stardom, Anderson emblazoned the bags with his nautical-inspired logo and crafted them from supple leather. The design itself gives a vibe of modern minimalism, but is also meant to evoke thoughts of the trends prevalent in the 1940s. Talk about a picture-perfect marriage of style, tradition and functionality! The camera toters will soon be available at Nikon stores everywhere.

The term “glamping” – meaning glamorous camping for the elite adventurer – has steadily worked its way into the summer vernacular of the jet set over the past several years. From the beaches of the Hamptons, to the woods of the Berkshires, and even the fields adjacent to music festivals across the globe, glamping restores a bit of civility to out-door living and leaves the niche for bespoke luxury tents wide open! Thankfully, British tent company FieldCandy has stepped up to provide for the glampers of the one percent.

Every FieldCandy tent design ($777.82 – $934.96) is uniquely created by a different designer – and most designs are produced in limited batches only. Some of our personal favorite designs include the exotic “Night’s Watch” (above) and the classic Union Jack flag pattern (directly below). However, from cows to fireflies, there really is a motif for every style. Not to mention that the tents are crafted in England, and feature a sturdy A-frame design, waterproof/flame-resistant shells and a handy carrying case for when you pack on up!
